1. Information We Collect

We collect personal information in the following situations:

  • Orders and accounts: name, email address, phone number, and delivery address when you place an order or create an account.
  • Contact form: name, email address, phone number, and message content when you submit an enquiry.
  • Newsletter: email address when you subscribe to our mailing list.
  • Usage data: anonymised browsing behaviour, pages visited, and interactions collected via analytics tools.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To process and fulfil your orders and send order confirmations.
  • To communicate with you about your delivery and any order updates.
  • To respond to contact form enquiries.
  • To send newsletters and promotional emails to subscribers — you may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.
  • To measure and improve website performance and advertising effectiveness.
  • We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Cookies and Client-Side Tracking

This website uses Google Tag Manager (GTM) to manage analytics and advertising tags, including Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Ads conversion tracking. These tools use cookies to measure site usage and ad performance. You can manage your cookie preferences via the consent banner shown on your first visit. Declining tracking cookies will prevent these tags from firing.

4. Server-Side Tracking

In addition to cookie-based tracking, we send purchase event data directly to Google Analytics 4 via the GA4 Measurement Protocol after a successful payment. This is a server-to-server transfer and is not controlled by your cookie consent preferences. The data sent includes your order reference, total value, and items purchased — no personally identifiable information beyond what is necessary to attribute the transaction.

5. Third-Party Data Sharing

We share data with the following third parties as necessary to operate our business:

  • Google Analytics 4 & Google Ads: anonymised usage and conversion data for website analytics and advertising performance measurement.
  • Google Merchant Center: product data (names, prices, images, availability) is shared via an automated product feed to display our products on Google Shopping.
  • PesaPal: your name, email, phone number, and order details are shared with PesaPal to process your payment. PesaPal's own privacy policy governs the data they collect during checkout.

6. Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through PesaPal. We do not store your card details or M-Pesa PIN on our servers. All payment data is handled by PesaPal in accordance with their security standards.

7. Data Retention

  • Order records: retained for seven years for accounting and legal compliance.
  • Contact form submissions: retained for up to two years then deleted.
  • Newsletter subscriptions: retained until you unsubscribe.
  • Account data: retained until you request deletion.

8. Your Rights

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@waterliftenergy.africa.

9. Contact

For any privacy concerns or data requests, contact Waterlift Energy Limited at info@waterliftenergy.africa.
